Ireland’s first Alzheimer’s cafe has just been launched. It is open on the second Thursday of every month in the Avila Centre, Bloomfield Avenue, Donnybrook, Dublin 4. It is aimed at sufferers, their families and health professionals and aims to provide a space for people to discuss the issues that arise in a social and relaxed atmosphere. Hopefully it will be the first of many around the country.
