I’m delighted to have been asked to be the legal spokesperson on behalf of MyLegacy.ie for its Best Will Week which runs from Monday 31 October 2016 to Sunday 6 November 2016. Today An Tanaiste and the Minister for Justice and Equality, Ms. Frances Fitzgerald, launched the campaign aimed at encouraging people to make a will and to consider including a legacy to a charity in the will. Considering that research has shown that people’s single biggest concern about dying is that their family won’t be provided for, it is stunning to discover that only 30% of people have made a will which can remove this worry.
